This is a music promotional video for my band Dead Birds Adore Us, promoting our album in 2015.

The footage was shot by Tim Hashko (steamingkettle.net). I edited the video using Adobe Premiere and used Adobe After Effects for some of the visual effects and titles. The purpose of the video was to give our audience a taste of the album and entice them to make a purchase. The video garnered over 600 views in a short amount of time. This video features a clip of the song Banshee.

This is a postcard designed for Extreme Grappling Open, advertising three grappling tournaments. This postcard design gives the recipients all the pending dates for the year as well as the details for the first grappling tournament. The tournament director also wanted to advertise a special "EGO Maniac Price" to encourage people to buy the package deal.

Once this postcard design was approved, I prepared the final print file and merged it with the company’s mailing list using Adobe InDesign. This postcard was sent to over 2,000 recipients across the Midwest United States.

During my employment at Sharp Business Systems in Indianapolis, I created numerous posters, banners, postcards and many more branded items for Community Health Network. Community Health Network is a network of hospitals and facilities, mostly in central Indiana. I worked closely with the Community Health Network Branding Coordinator to ensure consistent graphic elements in all of my projects. This particular layout design helps inform patients of the online system MyChart, and how they can use it for their child's healthcare.

Social Media Marketing Campaign Backstory: Dead Birds Adore Us composed full length album, funded using Kickstarter, Ryan Sellick managed the process and designed the CD Packaging, the album was then copyrighted and digitally distributedCampaign action: I created the wordpress website Deadbirdsadoreus.com loaded with Google Analytics and optimized for search engines. I created promotional designs including posters and social media posts. I regularly scheduled social media posts and analyzed the results, and ran low budget social media ad campaigns. I also created 4 promotional videos to distribute on social media.Results of Social Media Marketing Campaign for Dead Birds Adore Us. There was an increase in Facebook likes, engagement, organic reach and daily reach. We garnered 2019 views on youtube and 55 likes, as well as 42 Twitter followers. Our Spotify account acquired 2498 plays, our Bandcamp 1076 and our soundcloud 607.

This was my Grad School capstone project, a Social Media Marketing campaign promoting my band's music (Dead Birds Adore Us) and brand. I created the above Infographic for my Capstone presentation to summarize the results.

In early 2014 we recorded a full length album. 10 songs of music that took us 3 years to write and perfect. We ran a successful Kickstarter campaign which funded our CD manufacturing and digital distribution (it even received a mark of love from Kickstarter!).

We had a successful release show in August 2014, and I decided to keep that momentum up for my Graduate School Capstone project. I felt Social Media Marketing for the band was a good choice because it combines my diverse skill set and passion for music. I also wanted to explore the potential of Social Media Marketing, Wordpress Administration, and SEO.

Our main Social Media channels were Facebook, Twitter, Google+ (now defunct), and YouTube. Each channel links back to our website for more content and information about the band. I also blogged regularly on the website, made a few promotional videos, ran a couple Facebook contests, and I regularly posted content to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. I learned a lot about each platform, and how to effectively present content to reach a wide audience.

As you can see from the graphic above, there was a significant increase in fans, followers, streams, and all-around engagement. This goes to show that these techniques work, and can help any company brand with exposure and connecting with their audience.

Unfortunately, we didn't see a lot of album sales as a result of the social media marketing. I attribute this mostly to a shift that's happening in the music industry. Now that most music is readily available on streaming platforms, the industry is shifting from product-based market to stream/attention-based market. Nowadays with music, being prolific is key for success. Despite our low financial ROI, I am confident that this type of social media marketing campaign would work very well for just about any product-based business.

Dead Birds Adore Us split up in late 2015 to make way for other projects and opportunities. It was a fun ride, and a valuable experience for everyone involved.

This is a promotional music video clip for my band Dead Birds Adore Us. I performed in the video, directed the video, multi-track recorded the audio, edited the video, and applied visual effects.

This video was created to help promote our acoustic shows, giving our fans a taste of the sound.

The video was recorded live using a few takes with two camera angles, one stationary and one hand-held. I recorded the music using Cakewalk Sonar X1 and a Firepod FP10 audio interface. The video was edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, and visual effects were added in Adobe After Effects.

This video was created to promote an unplugged acoustic show for my band Dead Birds Adore Us. We had a reputation for being an unorthodox hard rock band. When we scheduled our acoustic shows, we wanted to give fans a taste of what we sound like playing acoustic instruments.

I recorded the video using several takes and two camera angles. One camera was stationary, and my brother recorded several angles with an additional camera. The audio was recording multi-track using Cakewalk Sonar and a Firepod FP10. The video was edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, and visual effects were added in Adobe After Effects.
